Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
