Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
