Al-Dhaareyaat 3 of 3
We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 50 And set not up with God another god; I am a clear warner from Him to you. 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 What, have they bequeathed it one to another? Nay, but they are an insolent people. 53 Therefore turn away from them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), – so there is no blame upon you. 54 But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 for, verily, God Himself is the Provider of all sustenance, the Lord of all might, the Eternal! 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
