Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
