And recite to them the story of Ibrahim (Abraham). 69 when he asked his father and his people, "What is that which you worship?" 70 They said, 'We serve idols, and continue cleaving to them. 71 Said he: "Do [you really think that] they hear you when you invoke them, 72 "Or do you good or harm?" 73 They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing thus (what we do)." 74 He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, 75 "Ye and your fathers before you?- 76 they are all my enemies, not so the Lord of the Universe, 77 Who created me, and He doth guide me, 78 and is the One who gives me to eat and to drink, 79 And heals me when I am sick, 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 “And the One Who, upon Whom I pin my hopes, will forgive me my mistakes on the Day of Judgement.” 82 My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good 83 and grant me the power to convey the truth unto those who will come after me, 84 “And make me among the inheritors of the Gardens of serenity.” 85 and forgive my father, for he was among the astray. 86 and disgrace me not on the Day when people will be raised to life, 87 The Day whereon will profit neither substance nor sons. 88 but only he that brings to Allah a sound heart will (attain to success)." 89 On the Day of Judgment Paradise will be brought near the pious 90 and hell will be left open for the rebellious ones 91 and they will be asked: "Where now is all that you were wont to worship 92 Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? 93 Then they shall be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 And the soldiers of Iblees, all together. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 "By Allah, we were surely in clear error 97 When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 It was but the guilty who misled us. 99 Now we have none to intercede for us, 100 And not a devoted friend. 101 Would that we might return again, and be among the believers' 102 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 103 Verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 104

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
