The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 Their account is only with my Lord, if you could perceive 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
