Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
