The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will now call the guards! 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
