Hizb 38
< random >
And Nuh's people belied the sent ones. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said, “O Nooh, if you do not desist you will surely be stoned.” 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
