Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
