Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
