The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
