Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
