The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midmorning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
