The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 in the Gardens of Delight 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 and abundant fruits, 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
