The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in columns outstretched. 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
