And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
