And [yet,] those who are bent on denying the truth do say: "We shall never believe in this Qur'an, and neither in whatever there still remains of earlier revelations!" But if thou couldst only see [how it will be on Judgment Day,] when these evildoers shall be made to stand before their Sustainer, hurling reproaches back and forth at one another! Those [of them] who had been weak [on earth] will say unto those who had gloried in their arrogance: "Had it not been for you, we would certainly have been believers!" 31 The haughty ones will then reply to the weak ones, "Did we keep you away from the guidance when it came to you? Indeed not. You yourselves were the guilty ones." 32 The oppressed ones will say to them, "It was you who planned night and day, ordering us to disbelieve God, and consider other things equal to Him." They will hide their regret on seeing their torment. We shall chain the necks of the disbelievers. Can they be recompensed with other than what they deserved for their deeds? 33 We never sent a warner to any town but its wealthy ones said: “We disbelieve in the Message you have brought.” 34 and they would add, "Richer [than you] are we in wealth and in children, and [so] we are not going to be made to suffer!" 35 Say, "Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it], but most of the people do not know." 36
