The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah). ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
