O dear Prophet, did you not see your Lord, how He spread the shade? And if He willed, He could have made it still; then We made the sun a proof upon it. 45 Then We draw it toward Us with an easy drawing. 46 And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection. 47 And it is He, Who drives the winds to be the harbingers of His mercy: then He sends down pure water from the sky 48 so that We may bring life to a dead land; and slake the thirst of Our creation; cattle and men, in great numbers. 49 We send them rain from time to time so that they may take heed. Many people have responded, but ungratefully. 50 Had We wanted We could have sent a Prophet to every town. 51 So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them (by preaching) with the utmost endeavour, with it (the Quran). 52 ۞ It is He who released the two bodies of flowing water, one sweet and fresh and the other salty and bitter, and set up an insurmountable barrier between them. 53 It is He who created man from water, then gave him consanguinity and affinity. Your Lord is omnipotent. 54 Yet do they worship, besides Allah, things that can neither profit them nor harm them: and the Misbeliever is a helper (of Evil), against his own Lord! 55 We have sent thee not, except good tidings to bear, and warning. 56 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this except that anyone who so wishes should take the right path to his Lord." 57 O Muhammad trust in that Allah Who is Ever-Living and will never die' Glorify Him with His praise, for He alone is sufficient to be aware of the sins of His servants. 58 He who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness; the Most Gracious! Ask, then, about Him, [the] One who is [truly] aware. 59 When it is said to them. "Prostrate yourselves before the Merciful," they retort, "What is the Merciful? Would you have us prostrate ourselves before whomsoever you will?" And this invitation only helps to increase their hatred all the more. ۩ 60
