We sent Noah to his people and he lived with them for nine hundred and fifty years, then the flood engulfed them for their injustice. 14 Yet We delivered him, and those who were in the ship, and appointed it for a sign unto all beings. 15 And Abraham, [too, was inspired by Us] when he said unto his people: "Worship God, and be conscious of Him: this is the best for you, if you but knew it! 16 You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned." 17 'But if you cry me lies, nations cried lies before you; and it is only for the Messenger to deliver the Manifest Message.' 18 Have they never observed how Allah creates for the first time and then repeats it? Indeed (to repeat the creation of a thing) is even easier for Allah (than creating it for the first time). 19 Say: Journey in the land, then behold how He originated creation; then God causes the second growth to grow; God is powerful over everything, 20 He punishes or grants mercy to whomever He wants and to Him you will all return. 21 Neither can you escape (from His control) in the earth nor in the sky; and for you, other than Allah, there is neither a friend nor a supporter. 22
