Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
