▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 and you are watching at that time 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
