The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it enshrouds, 1 By the Day as it appears in glory; 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 We shall facilitate for him the Way to Bliss. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 He who gives his wealth to be purified, 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
