And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
