Blessed is He who could give you palaces and gardens wherein streams would flow, far better than what they want you to have. 10 But they reject the hour, and We have prepared a burning fire for him who rejects the hour. 11 When it sees them from afar, they will hear its raging and roaring. 12 And when they are cast into a narrow place in it, bound, they shall there call out for destruction. 13 'Call not out today for one destruction, but call for many!' 14 Say: (O Muhammad SAW) "Is that (torment) better or the Paradise of Eternity promised to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2)?" It will be theirs as a reward and as a final destination. 15 Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled. 16 Upon the day when He shall muster them and that they serve, apart from God, and He shall say, 'Was it you that led these My servants astray, or did they themselves err from the way?' 17 They will say; hallowed be Thou! it behoved us not that we should take beside Thee any patron, but Thou allowedest them and their fathers enjoyment until they forgat the admonition, and they were a people doomed. 18 “So the deities have belied what you state – so now you can neither avert the punishment nor help yourself; and whoever among you is unjust, We shall make him taste a terrible punishment.” 19 AND [even] before thee, [O Muhammad,] We never sent as Our message-bearers any but [mortal men] who indeed ate food [like other human beings] and went about in the market places: for [it is thus that] We cause you [human beings] to be a means of testing one another. Are you able to endure [this test] with patience? For [remember, O man,] thy Sustainer is truly all-seeing! 20
