1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 [as free of faults] as if they were hidden [ostrich] eggs. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
