And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
