The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder 1 in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, 2 And when the earth has been extended 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back – 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 and will enter the Blazing Fire. 12 Indeed he used to rejoice in his home. 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 and the night and what it envelops 17 And by the moon when she becometh full. 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 Nay, but the unbelievers are crying lies, 22 And Allah knows best what they gather (of good and bad deeds), 23 Therefore give to them glad tidings of a painful punishment, 24 except those that believe, and do righteous deeds -- theirs shall be a wage unfailing. 25
