The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 Most beneficent, ever-merciful, 3 and Master of the Day of Judgment 4 Thee only we serve; to Thee alone we pray for succour. 5 Guide us (O Lord) to the path that is straight, 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
