۞ It is He who created you from a soul. From it He created its mate, so that he might reside with her. And when he had covered her, she conceived, and for a time her burden was light. She carried it with ease, but when it grew heavy, they both supplicated to Allah, their Lord: 'Grant us a goodly child and we will be among the thankful' 189 So when He bestowed them a normal child, they ascribed partners (to Him) in respect of what He had bestowed upon them; therefore Supreme is Allah, above all that they ascribe as partners. 190 Do they associate with Him those who create nothing and they are [themselves] created? 191 And cannot provide any help to them, nor do they help themselves? 192 And if ye call them toward guidance they follow you not: it is the same to you whether ye call them or are silent. 193 Lo! those on whom ye call beside Allah are slaves like unto you. Call on them now, and let them answer you, if ye are truthful! 194 Have they feet wherewith they walk? Or have they hands wherewith they hold? Or have they eyes wherewith they see? Or have they ears wherewith they hear? Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Call your (so-called) partners (of Allah) and then plot against me, and give me no respite! 195 Indeed, my protector is Allah, who has sent down the Book; and He is an ally to the righteous. 196 While those you beseech apart from Him cannot help you or even help themselves. 197 And if you call them to guidance they do not listen; and you (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) observe them looking towards you, whereas they do not perceive anything. 198 Cultivate tolerance, enjoin justice, and avoid the fools. 199 And if it happens that a prompting from Satan should stir you up, seek refuge with Allah. He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 200 Indeed, when a visitation of satan touches the cautious (worshipers) they remember, and then see clearly. 201 even though their [godless] brethren would [like to] draw them into error: and then they cannot fail [to do what is right]. 202 And whenever thou bringest not unto them, as a sign, they say: wherefore hast not thou selected it? Say thou: I only follow that which hath been revealed unto me by my Lord. This is an enlightenment from your Lord and a guidance and a mercy unto a people who believe. 203 And when the Koran is recited, give you ear to it and be silent; haply so you will find mercy. 204 And remember your Lord within yourself in humility and in fear without being apparent in speech - in the mornings and the evenings. And do not be among the heedless. 205 Indeed, those who are near your Lord are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, and they exalt Him, and to Him they prostrate. ۩ 206
