Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
