Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen me through him 31 And share my task, 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
