Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
