T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
