(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and may remember You much. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
