Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 He plunged the villages 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
