The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and shade extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For those on the right. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
