The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the startling calamity? 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 And the mountains shall become as wool carded, 5 Those whose good deeds will weigh heavier (on the scale) 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 his head will be in the Plunging 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 Raging Fire. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
