Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 then do not place me, Lord, with the wrongdoers." 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 Haply I may do good in that which I have left. By no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 Surely I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, that they are the achievers. 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
