Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
