The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
