'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 and ease my task for me. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
