The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
