Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
