Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 In a Garden on high, 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will chastise him with the most terrible chastisement. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
