Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
