And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
