The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created man. 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
