Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, writers 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
